Be honest: Do you love or hate the LV Miroir?

I think Paris Hilton and Kim look absolutely ridiculous carrying their huge metallic Louis Vuitton Miroir Keepalls. Not a great match with their beach wear. For details of the Louis Vuitton Miroir Collection click here. Personally, I don't like it. I think the speedy in silver is OK and this is what Lindsay Lohan used to spice up a plain black outfit out in Hollywood last week. If I was a celebrity and was given one of the bags for free then maybe i'd use it, once, but there's no chance i'd spend what the price tag asks for a bag that will be dead and buried before 2007 is over. Surely, this will just be another LV that looks garish and dated in no time at all? I'll stick with the classic monogram LV speedy. And anyhow, if Paris Hilton has it I don't want it.

Shopbop's Spring Preview

Got ten minutes to spare? Then why not take a look at shopbop's spring preview and put together your wish list for the new year. They've picked up on several of the trends I pointed out in my own Spring 2007: Fashion Watch earlier this week, including metallics, bright colour (for example, electric blue and hot pink - "Primary colours rule, but any intense hue will do. Accent or full feature, brighter is better"), high platform shoes and waist belts.

They also predict that animal/jungle prints (think leopard spots and zebra stripes), mini skirts and dresses (time to get those legs in shape) and wide leg trousers will be popular. Don't forget to check out their sale - my favourite picks are
COH Green Crossover Sweatshirt $79.80, Kors Canvas Newton $55 in tan, Rachel Pally Black Dress $59.40 down from $198 (what a deal! And all sizes are still available!). Please leave a comment with all the details if you have purchased something great from the sale.

Christina Aguilera - Lady in Red

I've wanted a red leather bag for months and this photo of Christina Aguilera taken earlier this week reminded me of just why I want one so bad. Christina has made red her trademark. She rarely leaves the house without red lipstick, red Christian Louboutin peep toes...and now add red Balenciaga to the list. Net-a-porter have this red Chloe Paddington on sale reduced from £794 to £476; what do you think?

Overeater's Anonymous

Who's eaten way more than they should have done this holiday season? Me for one. Now that i've no longer got the age-old excuse of Christmas at the forefront of my mind every time I walk into the kitchen, i've started to think about a strict diet and exercise regime. I truly want to change my eating habits for good and this is a huge goal for me in 2007.

A came across a pretty informative web site the other day,
weight loss resources, which has near enough everything you need to know about diets, healthy eating and exercise. Today I received in the post their food & exercise diary for £5.99 plus delivery. Although I could have just used a normal notepad to record my eating habits and calorie consumption I felt like I wanted to give this a go. At the end of each week there is a progress report page to note down details such as your current weight and the amount lost that week. Cool huh?

The eating plan that works best for me is a low carb, high protein diet. I have an intolerance to wheat, which is found in bread, pasta, cakes and biscuits so I have no problem avoiding such items which are always very high in carbohydrates.

Breakfast will be eggs (poached or scrambled) or oatmeal/porridge. Lunch and dinner will basically be some kind of fish or chicken with veg or salad. This menu will be nothing you haven't heard before. Kind of boring, but this has worked for me before. Does anybody have any other menu ideas?

I've just renewed my gym membership and aim to get back into exercising religiously four times per week. I have ten pounds to lose and want a rockin-body for summer. Wish me luck!

Yay or Nay? Swing Coat

What do you think of this check swing coat? Cute or not? Just for a bit of Christmas fun i'm not going to tell you right away where it's from and how much it costs - i'd like you all to guess! Clue: it's a UK store.

Spring 2007: Fashion Watch

As all the sales are just about to start I thought it would be worthwhile to take a look at what's hot for spring 2007. That way, I can pick out those items in the sales that i'll get use out of over the next six months, rather than buying items from last season that just won't work when the sun starts shining again.

Stacked heels will be big news for 2007. To be honest i'm not a fan (too many bad memories of wearing clumpy shoes over a decade ago!) but those of you who are fierce followers of fashion will embrace this style i'm sure. From left to right: Dior, Marni, Missoni, Chanel.

Fuschia or hot pink was a prominent colour across many of the runway shows. If you can find something in this colour in the sales then you're definitely onto a winner. From left to right: Alessandro Dell'Aqcua, Carolina Herrera, Emilio Pucci, Carolina Herrera.

Black and white - the monochrome look - was all over the shows. It was the most evident trend of them all for spring 2007. Such a cute look that comes in and out of fashion. Snap up basics in black and white that can be worn together. Even better search out garments which incorporate both colours, in stripes or similar. From left to right: Celine, Chanel, Emporio Armani, Malandrino.

Cinced in waists with wide belts were a massive look in 2006 and it is still going strong. I never got round to buying a wide black belt so it's top of my sales wishlist. I'm looking for one that's not too narrow but not too thick and I don't want to pay more than about £10 as i'm not sure i'll still be wearing it come summer. Cute for the next few months though - I really like the look of a wide belt worn over a grey cardigan. Michael Kors is clearly a fan. He used belts with numerous outfits on his runway show:

Metallic bags (silver) are the hottest accessory for spring. Again this a trend that comes in and out of fashion. I recently talked about the metallic Louis Vuitton Miroir Collection but there are lots of gorgeous options out their right now. From left to right: Chanel, Fendi, Gucci, Marc Jacobs. I'll be looking for a metallic silver evening clutch in the sales.

What are you planning to buy in the sales?

Britney Spear's Little Sis has Better Fashion Sense!

Britney Spears and her little sis, Jamie Lynn are pictured here on 17 December watching the LA Lakers play. Don't you think Jamie Lynn has got way more style than Britney? I love how she always dresses her age - here with a cute tee and fun jewellery. I've never seen her in revealing or tarty clothes (unlike Britney who just doesn't know the meaning of the word elegance). I'm definitely buying this 'Little Miss Naughty' tee as soon Christmas is over with. I absolutely LOVE this shade of green! Lots of celebs have been seen in 'Little Miss' tees - Britney herself has the white 'Little Miss Sunshine'.

Those in the UK and Europe can view the whole range at Truffle Shuffle 80s Clothing Ltd, but I guarantee you won't walk away with just one t-shirt - this site is amazing! Check out the Celebrity Gallery for more inspiration - i'm a sucker for wanting anything a celebrity has been seen wearing.

Those of you in the US should visit 80s Tees which stocks exactly the same ranges. Happy shopping!!

Uh-Oh! Socks & Sandals at Marc Jacobs

Now is the time of year I like to start thinking about what we'll all be wearing come spring/summer 2007. It's fun to look through the fashion shows online and make conclusions about what trends will filter down to the high street and which are just plain stupid. Marc by Marc Jacobs showcased socks with sandals, which has always been a fashion no-no. What do you think? Would you wear this trend in the name of fashion? My guess is that this is one of those runway moments created to grab attention rather than set a new trend.

Rachel Bilson's Look for Less

Thank you to Joanne who left a comment with a link to this cute capelet by Forever 21 which is a fantastic copy of the one worn by Rachel Bilson. See the original post here: Rachel Bilson's Look for Less. This is a great option for those readers in the USA. I wish we had Forever 21 in England.

Reader Request: Last Minute Party Wear

I had an email from a reader a few days ago who was struggling to find outfits to wear over Christmas and for New Years Eve. I've also had a hard time - my wardrobe is full but I still don't feel like I have the right things to wear. A long look round Topshop proved fruitless yesterday so I came home sulking. Sulking whilst at home often leads to online shopping.

I found nothing at any of my usual handful of favourite web sites. It always surprises me at this time of year the distinct lack of dressy tops available. It's fine if you want to buy a dress but what about for those evenings where you just need something to dress up your best jeans? Well, after a while I started browsing LXDirect and ordered the following four tops, all by 'Love Label' except for the red top which is by Morgan.

I used a code to get £15 off the order. This expired yesterday but if you do a Google search you'll easily find a code - they always have them! Get what you need at lxdirect.com I'd love to have your opinions on each of these tops as I'll only keep my favourite two once they are received and return the rest. Other stores to take a look at for last minute party wear are: miss selfridge, topshop, asos.

Balenciaga & Fendi Spy at ASOS

Sorry for the lack of posting over the last week or so - all this Christmas shopping has been taking it's toll and i've been struggling to find the time. As negative as it sounds, i'll be glad when it's all over for another year. I've just logged onto ASOS to check out their sale and noticed that a teal Balenciaga and a tan Fendi Spy have just arrived on the site in time for Christmas. As the writer of a fashion blog I guess I should be in the know and shouldn't be asking my readers this - but can anyone tell me how a store like ASOS has managed to source high end goods such as these? I know they had Chloe Paddington's recently but now it's really started to make me wonder.

Outfit Inspiration

I get inspiration for creating outfits from all over the place - magazines, fashion blogs, people watching. What I love more than anything though are the emails I get sent by online boutique My Wardrobe.

Each weekly email includes gorgeous outfits like the one pictured - enter your email address in the box in the bottom left of the home page to sign up. I warn you though, this could seriously tempt you to spend some money.

Where do you get the inspiration to help you put looks together? Or does it just come naturally?!

All I want for Christmas

It's just 9 days to go until Christmas and believe it or not i've only bought two presents so far! I have never been so disorganised. What makes this year even stranger is that I haven't requested a single thing. Now, i'm not sure whether that's because i'm a girl who has everything or just that I really want the surprise.

I haven't had any true desires for anything lately. We're not a family who goes mad at Christmas and we spend very little on each other in comparison to others so although I really want a Balenciaga City and a Sony Laptop I would never actually ask for either!

It popped into my head the other day that what i'd really love is a year long subscripton to Vogue Magazine. That way I get the pleasure of receiving once a month every month for a whole year. What could be better? A subscription is available for only £24.99 which gives you a huge 30% saving on the list price of £3.60 per issue. You'll also see that Glamour is available for £13.99 - now this is a bargain!

I was slightly disappointed to see just how much Kate Winslet was airbushed on the January 2007 cover of Vogue. It barely looks like her - what's the point in producing a picture we all know is completely fake?

Kate Hudson's Look for Less

Kate Hudson's sassy boots are by Thomas Wylde and will set you back a staggering £1223 (1798 euros) at Stylebop. Now i'm not sure about you but that's kinda outta of my price range. Faith's 'Melise' charcoal boot (pictured below) is an alternative for only £90 - A great price for quality leather boots which you could still be wearing in years to come. These boots have a fuller calf which makes them perfect for wearing over skinny jeans.

Fabulously Fashionable Flats

Juicy Couture has never been an understated brand and, too me, it has always been a young and trendy label synonomous with 'Bling'. Juicy Couture's new range of flats priced at $150 will not appeal to everyone but with the right outfit these would scream 'fun and funky'. Available in Ballet Pink, Black and Platinum (Gold).

These are described as a 'travel slipper' and won't be as sturdy as you would expect from your usual outdoor shoes. The Lanvin flats are much the same and some girls have asked their shoe repair guy to add an extra thin sole before wearing, to ensure an extended life.

Speaking of Lanvin flats...aren't these options by Gap just perfect? You can't go wrong with prices from $29.50-39.50.

Louis Vuitton Miroir Collection

The much anticipated Louis Vuitton Miroir line was released on December 1st but what i'd really like to know is exactly how many of you have managed to get your hands on one? For those of you who have tried, how hard was it?

The Miroir line is a Limited Edition collection of the classic shape LV bags (Alma, Keepall, Speedy, Pochette and Papillion) but in flashy, completely over the top, silver or gold. What you get for the price is PVC, not leather. This highly coveted line has been released in a season where metallics are right on trend and this is certainly a very trendy collection. LV have managed to create serious exclusivity with this new offering but do any of these bags have the longevity of the classic LV prints you'll still be carrying around when you're sixty? Or does that not matter?

I'm not sure of the exact number of Miroir bags that were made but i've heard that some Louis Vuitton stores have literally only received one of each, which has left die hard LV fans reeling. To make matters worse a relatively large number have appeared on eBay being flipped for a hefty profit. Some 'designer bag resellers' make a great living on eBay by taking full advantage of the economics of supply and demand. Is this just good business sense or is it greedy and on some level, immoral? When it comes to Limited Edition lines wouldn't it be nice if an 'only one per customer' rule applied. Although it wouldn't stop the very determined it could deter some resellers from buying in bulk purely to sell on for double the price once the supply has dried up. I'd love to know your thoughts on this range...yay or nay? Worth the dollars? Photographs courtesy of eBay:

If you missed out this time and are desperate to get your hands on the next Limited Edition line make friends with an LV Sale Associate now! Check out new ranges as soon as the runway shows hit the internet and ask Santa for a subscription to Vogue to ensure you're ahead of the game when it comes to getting your name down on the waiting list. Rachel Bilson's Look for Less

Rachel Bilson can do no wrong in my eyes. She's got every reason to be happy...she always looks cute as button. If rumours are to be believed long term boyfriend Adam Brody was recently seen cosying up to Ashlee Simpson. Something tells me Rachel won't be single for long. She has fantastic style and is fast becoming a style icon.

Rachel's Theory Capelet is way outta my price range at $335 so I set about trying to find an alternative. Girls in the US ~ this is obviously not a trend your stores in the lower price bracket have picked up on as I could find nothing remotely similar. Girls in the UK - here are your options:

I think these two are my faves: Dark grey swing cardigan £35 Topshop and Grey crop cardigan £24.99 River Island. Just in case you didn't know already ~ Topshop now finally ships internationally! Hooray!!

The next two, both from Dorothy Perkins are chunkier and therefore probably warmer than the above. Charcoal swing cardigan £30 and black & grey swing cardigan £30. Have any of you seen something closer in style to Rachel's? Which is your favourite of the four posted?

Massive 30% Off: Lets go Shopping!

Order by 10th Dec and you'll also get FREE worldwide shipping! They have an amazing sale section right now, so do take a peek. They seem to be selling out of stock fast - I went back to buy a development top i've had my eye on all week and it's sold out. Don't you just hate that? Click the banner to shop:

Carmen Electra in Splendid

Carmen Electra was pictured this week wearing a cute red and white stripe tank by Splendid available at pink mascara for $46. This is great to add some fun colour to the drab black and grey colour schemes that are in trend this season. Is it just me or does Carmen's hair look a funny colour - more ginger than blonde? The roots certainly need a touch up! Her boots are gorgeous...do any of you know who they are by?

I also found the t-shirt version of Carmen's tank at Misamu on sale for only 30 Euros ($39, £20) - use code BGLAM for a further 20% off. With the code this works out at $31, 24 euros or £16 shipped! They have FREE shipping worldwide until the end of Sunday 10th December. Get some star style on the cheap! What a deal! Click to buy: Splendid Stripe T Punch

This tee also looks a lot like the Nation Ltd tee seen poking out from Jessica Simpson's Juicy Couture track top:

Buy of the Week

If you've been looking for something to wear to a Christmas party or for New Year's Eve then this could be just what you're after. This black knee length strappy dress with cross over back and sequin band detail has caused a stir since it was featured in Vogue. Guess how much? And who is it by?

Dress £25 at Dorothy Perkins. Size 8 and 10 are currently sold out online but larger sizes are still available. Check out your local store - if you don't see your size out ask one of the staff to call the warehouse and check availability. If they have your size at the warehouse it will be delivered your local store for collection within about 4 days.

Chic Winter Evening Outfit

I'm in love with this season's fashions more than any other season for the past few years. I love the glamour and the 60's inspirations. The styles are so chic. While I was out on the town on Friday night I spotted a girl who looked like she'd literally stepped off the cover of Vogue. Some girls just know how to dress and have the figures to go along with it *sigh*. The basis of her outfit was this Topshop Sweater Dress £40. The rest went something like this:

Quick links: Red sparkle lurex tights £10, Red diagonal flap clutch £5, Faith leopard print shoes £50, Long length key & lock necklace £8, Essie nail varnish in 'Clutch Me If You Can' at HQhair.com . Use code BEAUTYBIBLE for 10% off.

Steal Nicole's style at Max & Chloe

It's your last chance to save 20% off ultra-hip accessories boutique Max & Chloe. The code BGLAM expires midnight Monday 4th Dec.

There's some fantastic products - one of my favourites is the
CC Skye double wrap bracelet which Nicole Richie has been wearing all year. She matches it with just about any style of outfit, whether it be for day or evening. Here she is wearing it at Barney's last week.

Britney's T-Bags Dress - Yay or Nay?

Yes, I know, it's somewhat of a Britney-fest at B Glam this week! What's your opinion on this T-Bags printed mini dress that Britney stepped out in a couple of days ago? Is it a yay or nay? The dress is available to buy at Debut Boutique for $172.
