Trend Watch: The Grey Tee

Now here's a trend we can all follow easy-peasy (and it's inexpensive!):~ The grey t-shirt. Seems simple enough, but oh so effective if you like the casual-LA-vibe. A ton of young celebs have been sporting this trend over the last couple of weeks - Mary Kate Olsen and Rachel Bilson are wearing the American Apparel Tri-Blend Pullover (£21 UK / cheaper for US buyers on US online store) . Both girls accessorize like mad with sunglasses, jewellery and chunky brown belts. You'll probably find America Apparel clothing cheaper by ordering from 'Tuffy' - listed in the 'Recommended eBay Sellers' in the left sidebar. Another popular style is the short sleeve deep v-neck as sported by High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens. Urban Outfitters has Vanessa's PE V-neck Tee for just $24 (pictured middle). I also really like the look of the American Apparel Tri-Blend v-neck (pictured right) and judging by the hundreds of outstanding reviews this is certainly not an item to pass up. I'm getting my debit card out as we speak.

Reader Question: Lauren Conrad

I received a great question from one of our readers, Danielle, which I really wanted to share with you all. Danielle asked "Hey. I was just wondering if you had any tips that I could use to dress more like Lauren Conrad (LC), from "The Hills." She has such great style and I don't know where I could find pieces to copy off of her at. Could you help?" I too am a big fan of Lauren, who I first came across on MTV's hit show Laguna Beach. I often check out the latest photos of LC to see what she's wearing and it's great to see she really mixes up budget items (see LC in Arden B July 07 and LC in F21 Nov 06) with designer. I've noticed Lauren wearing dresses from Forever21 on a number of occasions. The first place I generally look to when I want to copy pieces off a celeb is Celebrity Style Guide. If you're on a budget I would say Forever21 is your best bet to steal Lauren's style. Check out photos of LC and put together the outfits yourself from the massive selection available online at F21. If you have more to spend then check out online superstore Shopbop for the biggest selection of all the brands LC wears - Michelle Mason, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Ella Moss, Splendid for basics and Tory Burch flats. LC's style is fairly simple, and therefore easy to copy and her look is one which should suit any young fun-loving lady. Sex and the City: The Movie!

It is actually happening girls...it's really happening. Sex and the City: The Movie is now in production with release scheduled for May 2008. Oh my, I can't quite contain my excitement! Is anyone else as excited as me?! I will never get sick of this show or these four ladies - I watch re-runs on Sky almost every single night before I go to bed. I just can't wait to see all the fabulous outfits and shots of the amazing city that New York is. Lets hope all these 'spoilers' don't completely ruin the film for us by the time next summer comes!

Trend Watch: Bubble Hem

The bubble hem (or 'blouson' hem as you may now hear it called) has been in and out for the past couple of years, or so it seems to me. One minute it's cool, the next it's not (and we all know how fickle fashion can be). Right now though, it looks like it's making an appearance yet again. Nicole Richie recently sported the Michelle Mason bubble dress and has this week been followed by The Hills' girls...Audrina and Whitney. Whitney (on the right) is sporting the Catherine Malandrino 'blouson' dress [$475]; Lauren (middle) is wearing 'Mint' and Audrina (on the left) is dressed in a stunning strapless dress by Elizabeth & James [$395 at Neiman Marcus]. Elizabeth & James is the Olsens twins' new clothing line and boy, do I think they've done a good job.
