I think Paris Hilton and Kim look absolutely ridiculous carrying their huge metallic Louis Vuitton Miroir Keepalls. Not a great match with their beach wear. For details of the Louis Vuitton Miroir Collection click here. Personally, I don’t like it. I think the speedy in silver is OK and this is what Lindsay Lohan used to spice up a plain black outfit out in Hollywood last week. If I was a celebrity and was given one of the bags for free then maybe i’d use it, once, but there’s no chance i’d spend what the price tag asks for a bag that will be dead and buried before 2007 is over. Surely, this will just be another LV that looks garish and dated in no time at all? I’ll stick with the classic monogram LV speedy. And anyhow, if Paris Hilton has it I don’t want it.
Wow – this is a great deal. Bluefly have Vanessa’s La Rok hoodie reduced to only $67.99. Click here now to Shop Bluefly! Just enter ‘La Rok’ into the search box and it’s located on the second page. The hoodie will go back up to $84.99 on Monday (still a great price). This is such a cute look for spring. If they’ve got your size snap one up!
Got ten minutes to spare? Then why not take a look at shopbop’s spring preview and put together your wish list for the new year. They’ve picked up on several of the trends I pointed out in my own Spring 2007: Fashion Watch earlier this week, including metallics, bright colour (for example, electric blue and hot pink – “Primary colours rule, but any intense hue will do. Accent or full feature, brighter is better”), high platform shoes and waist belts.
They also predict that animal/jungle prints (think leopard spots and zebra stripes), mini skirts and dresses (time to get those legs in shape) and wide leg trousers will be popular. Don’t forget to check out their sale – my favourite picks are COH Green Crossover Sweatshirt $79.80, Kors Canvas Newton $55 in tan, Rachel Pally Black Dress $59.40 down from $198 (what a deal! And all sizes are still available!). Please leave a comment with all the details if you have purchased something great from the sale.

I’ve wanted a red leather bag for months and this photo of Christina Aguilera taken earlier this week reminded me of just why I want one so bad. Christina has made red her trademark. She rarely leaves the house without red lipstick, red Christian Louboutin peep toes…and now add red Balenciaga to the list. Net-a-porter have this red Chloe Paddington on sale reduced from £794 to £476; what do you think?
Who’s eaten way more than they should have done this holiday season? Me for one. Now that i’ve no longer got the age-old excuse of Christmas at the forefront of my mind every time I walk into the kitchen, i’ve started to think about a strict diet and exercise regime. I truly want to change my eating habits for good and this is a huge goal for me in 2007.
A came across a pretty informative web site the other day,
weight loss resources, which has near enough everything you need to know about diets, healthy eating and exercise. Today I received in the post their food & exercise diary for £5.99 plus delivery. Although I could have just used a normal notepad to record my eating habits and calorie consumption I felt like I wanted to give this a go. At the end of each week there is a progress report page to note down details such as your current weight and the amount lost that week. Cool huh?
The eating plan that works best for me is a low carb, high protein diet. I have an intolerance to wheat, which is found in bread, pasta, cakes and biscuits so I have no problem avoiding such items which are always very high in carbohydrates.
I’ve just renewed my gym membership and aim to get back into exercising religiously four times per week. I have ten pounds to lose and want a rockin-body for summer. Wish me luck!
What do you think of this check swing coat? Cute or not? Just for a bit of Christmas fun i’m not going to tell you right away where it’s from and how much it costs – i’d like you all to guess! Clue: it’s a UK store.

As all the sales are just about to start I thought it would be worthwhile to take a look at what’s hot for spring 2007. That way, I can pick out those items in the sales that i’ll get use out of over the next six months, rather than buying items from last season that just won’t work when the sun starts shining again.
Stacked heels will be big news for 2007. To be honest i’m not a fan (too many bad memories of wearing clumpy shoes over a decade ago!) but those of you who are fierce followers of fashion will embrace this style i’m sure. From left to right: Dior, Marni, Missoni, Chanel.
Fuschia or hot pink was a prominent colour across many of the runway shows. If you can find something in this colour in the sales then you’re definitely onto a winner. From left to right: Alessandro Dell’Aqcua, Carolina Herrera, Emilio Pucci, Carolina Herrera.
Black and white – the monochrome look – was all over the shows. It was the most evident trend of them all for spring 2007. Such a cute look that comes in and out of fashion. Snap up basics in black and white that can be worn together. Even better search out garments which incorporate both colours, in stripes or similar. From left to right: Celine, Chanel, Emporio Armani, Malandrino.
Cinced in waists with wide belts were a massive look in 2006 and it is still going strong. I never got round to buying a wide black belt so it’s top of my sales wishlist. I’m looking for one that’s not too narrow but not too thick and I don’t want to pay more than about £10 as i’m not sure i’ll still be wearing it come summer. Cute for the next few months though – I really like the look of a wide belt worn over a grey cardigan. Michael Kors is clearly a fan. He used belts with numerous outfits on his runway show:
Metallic bags (silver) are the hottest accessory for spring. Again this a trend that comes in and out of fashion. I recently talked about the metallic Louis Vuitton Miroir Collection but there are lots of gorgeous options out their right now. From left to right: Chanel, Fendi, Gucci, Marc Jacobs. I’ll be looking for a metallic silver evening clutch in the sales.
What are you planning to buy in the sales?
Britney Spears and her little sis, Jamie Lynn are pictured here on 17 December watching the LA Lakers play. Don’t you think Jamie Lynn has got way more style than Britney? I love how she always dresses her age – here with a cute tee and fun jewellery. I’ve never seen her in revealing or tarty clothes (unlike Britney who just doesn’t know the meaning of the word elegance). I’m definitely buying this ‘Little Miss Naughty’ tee as soon Christmas is over with. I absolutely LOVE this shade of green! Lots of celebs have been seen in ‘Little Miss’ tees – Britney herself has the white ‘Little Miss Sunshine’.

Those in the UK and Europe can view the whole range at Truffle Shuffle 80s Clothing Ltd, but I guarantee you won’t walk away with just one t-shirt – this site is amazing! Check out the Celebrity Gallery for more inspiration – i’m a sucker for wanting anything a celebrity has been seen wearing.
Those of you in the US should visit 80s Tees which stocks exactly the same ranges. Happy shopping!!
Now is the time of year I like to start thinking about what we’ll all be wearing come spring/summer 2007. It’s fun to look through the fashion shows online and make conclusions about what trends will filter down to the high street and which are just plain stupid. Marc by Marc Jacobs showcased socks with sandals, which has always been a fashion no-no. What do you think? Would you wear this trend in the name of fashion? My guess is that this is one of those runway moments created to grab attention rather than set a new trend.

Thank you to Joanne who left a comment with a link to this cute capelet by Forever 21 which is a fantastic copy of the one worn by Rachel Bilson. See the original post here: Rachel Bilson’s Look for Less. This is a great option for those readers in the USA. I wish we had Forever 21 in England.
